We fell in love with this senior’s night shoot pictures! We love when our seniors want to do something outside the box. Our nighttime photoshoots are a fun way to do just that! This is our favorite image from Sophia’s session.

Every year we try something new, creative, outside of the box- and this year we are having a blast lighting with color!  We always have our Kishel models do something unique and this year it’s intense color studio shoots! Here are some of our favorites!

This senior wanted to showcase her love for showing her dairy cows! What better way than a milk bath!! It was so much fun to get creative with Micah and her sweet cows. She also wanted to showcase another style completely. She came to the studio for another shoot with dramatic lighting. It was tough choosing our favorite pictures from her senior session but here’s a few!

Choosing the Right Accessories for Your Senior Portraits

You’ve got your outfit planned, know exactly what you’re doing with your hair, and have already spoken to the makeup artist about that wicked cat eye (yes, we do recommend getting a pro to do your makeup). Now it’s time to consider your accessories, which can make or break your outfit. Here are five tips when planning your outfits for senior portraits:

1. Don’t
   let the accessories wear you. Too big or too crazy can overwhelm your face and
   body, taking away from the overall image. This is about you.
2. Choose
   accessories that mean something to you. Maybe you want to wear a ring your
   mother gave you, or those earrings that always earn you compliments.
3. Try
   not to choose anything that’s heavily ornamented. In a few years, ultra trendy
   items can look really, really dated. Funky and fun are OK, of course, but be
   thoughtful in your decisions.
4. Make
   sure your accessories all work well with your outfit. For example, a thin belt
   may flatter your figure more than a thick belt. And those dangly earrings may
   look best with your hair up while the studs look good with your hair down.
5. Get
   a second, and third, opinion. Wear everything you plan to put on for your
   session day and ask for someone else’s advice. Take some pictures, even, and
   ask your friends and family if they have any suggestions.

Because you can’t let fear keep you from creativity. I knew the shot I wanted…and I was willing to risk my pretty face for it! Zoe worked ridiculously hard to get where she is today- I was honored she choose our studio to photograph her on her home rink at Culver Academies.
Senior pictures only happen once- make it count!

This image is powerful. Sarah is strong, stunning and she owned her senior photoshoot! We loved her look! The flower halo, the dress, the woods~perfection! She has beautiful bold eyes that pierce the camera every time! We know we’ll have more to share from this session, but this is our favorite for now…

We’re in summer mode with this beauty! We had so much fun going all around town to our favorite places with Abby! We decided to cool off at the local root beer stand and we had a little fun! Doesn’t she make orange creamsicle floats look glamorous!?

We’re IN LOVE with this image! Emma is stunning and we can’t get enough! This senior is full of grace, poise and beauty inside and out! #KishelSeniors

Jessalyn wanted to do something different…so we started brainstorming unique ideas that suited her personality and decided to take her out at night to capture the city lights! Needless to say…we nailed it! She always stuns!

Oh my goodness! Charlee is such a beauty inside and out! Her photoshoot was a blast and she totally rocked it with your classic girl-next-door style!
